Double Tee Concerts, founded in 1972 by David Leiken, is Oregon’s oldest independent concert company. The company produces events in major venues throughout the Pacific Northwest, and currently manages the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR. Double Tee Concerts also serves as the talent buyer and co-manager of the Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene, OR, along with Kesey Enterprises.
In the late 1970’s and early 80’s Double Tee produced the legendary Oregon Jam concert events at Autzen Stadium in Eugene as well as numerous Grateful Dead shows in association with Bill Graham Presents. The largest concert event in Oregon history, selling 102,000 tickets for the Dead at Autzen in 1994 was also produced by Double Tee Concerts. Legendary headliners such as The Police, Tim McGraw, Whitney Houston, New Kids on the Block, Billy Joel, Van Halen, Pearl Jam, Dave Mathews Band, Van Morrison, Queen, Heart, Bob Dylan, Foreigner, Styx, Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffett, Elton John, and hundreds more have been promoted over the years. Double Tee has also been heavily involved in artist management, record production, and label direction, through its own auspices and as a partner with Marlon McClain in Macman Music Inc. Pleasure, Nu Shooz, Dan Reed Network, Roger Sause, Shock, Sequel, Curtis Salgado, Robert Cray, Tim Gorman, Sequel, The Dazz Band, Jeff Lorber Fusion, U-Krew, and Taxxi are some of the artists who were managed or produced by these entities.
Currently Double Tee manages up and coming eclectic star Lilla, and is still partners in Macman Music Inc. with the “Magician” Marlon McClain. Marlon McClain has written, produced, arranged, and played on more than 50,000,000 records sold worldwide to date, with such artists as Pleasure, Jeff Lorber, Kenny G, George Clinton, Tower of Power, Brandy, En Vogue, Nu Shooz, Maurice White, Charlie Wilson, the Dazz Band, Ronnie Laws, and many others. Marlon’s Second solo album, TBD, was released summer of 2010.
